Pioneer Montessori offers several different programs and opportunities for enrichment.

Art
At Pioneer Montessori, creativity is woven into the fabric of our daily classroom experiences through hands-on activities and open-ended projects. In addition to these opportunities, students participate in dedicated weekly art classes that inspire self-expression and imagination. In art class, children explore drawing, painting, coloring, and exciting themed projects, using their creativity to express ideas and emotions. These experiences encourage creative thinking, personal expression, and a sense of pride as students joyfully declare,
"I made it myself!”
"I made it myself!”

Music
Our weekly music classes give students the opportunity to explore rhythm and melody through singing, movement, and playing a variety of instruments. It’s a joyful time that builds coordination, listening skills, and a love for music. Like our art program, music enrichment supports self-esteem and confidence, while beautifully complementing the Montessori philosophy of nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
Gross Motor Activities
Gross motor activities focus on developing the large muscles of the body including the arms, legs and torso. These activities include running, dancing, yoga, and physical exercise. For young children, gross motor activities are crucial to the development of the whole child. They build confidence and self esteem in children and give them an understanding of the importance of taking care of the body. These activities help to instill knowledge and awareness of overall well being, as well as decision making. They help young children in all areas of development including social, emotional, and physical. In the Pioneer Montessori classroom, we focus daily on gross motor activities as well as weekly yoga and meditation lessons.
