Our school bases its actions on kindness, honesty and respect for self and others. We provide a rigorous academic program that challenges both the intellect and the imagination. A solid foundation in core subjects is taught along with moral values. Diversity is central to the Pioneer Academy Mission. From its founding Pioneer Academy of Science has been an inclusive international community with strongly held values. Pioneer is committed to diversity and the development of an educational environment that best prepares students to become contributing members of a multicultural and interconnected society. Pioneer Academy of Science is coeducational and heterogeneous. Its students and faculty come from a variety of backgrounds – racial, economic, and religious.We hope that whatever they go onto do and be, we will have prepared them to be good stewards of the world’s resources – responsible, caring members of one global human community. Our student and staff diversity represents 16 different countries and Nations from Asia and South America and the United States.

Pioneer Academy of Science works to cultivate the community within our School families and our city neighbors by offering concerts, performances, and community events. We strive to participate in all cultural traditions.

Our curriculum supports this goal by presenting multiple perspectives and exposes students to varied cultural and historical experiences. Teachers help children to learn to engage in respectful dialogue with one another and to resolve conflict constructively. This goal is further expanded through Pioneer Academy’s International Exchange Program, Individual College Guidance Sessions, and its intensive SAT Preparation courses from 8th Grade into High School, and special attention to building an inclusive community of support, trust and respect.
